Chronic gastritis and gastroduodenitis in preschool and school children (art 1)

The lecture deals with the problems of chronic gastroduodenitis in children of preschool and school age. Part 1 es in detail the epidemiological specificities and predisposing causes of the development and increasing incidence of chronic gastroenterological pathologies in children. The article highlights exogenous and endogenous factors that te development of chronic diseases of the stomach and duodenum in children, and also the role of Helicobacter pylori in affection of mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract. The main s of pathogenesis are examined with description of the factors of aggression and defence. A modified classification of chronic gastrites and gastroduodenites in children is given and characteristic specificities of the clinical picture depending on the localization and dissemination of the inflammatory process are described.

The lecture deals with the problems of chronic gastroduodenitis in preschool and school children. Part 2 presents methods of examination, and also invasive and non-invasive methods of diagnosing H.pylori infection; a list of diseases for making a differential diagnosis. The article highlights in detail modern approaches to treatment, offers various schemes of eradication therapy corresponding to the requirements of the European paediatric task force on H.pylori infection and the 5th Moscow consensus of the Society of Gastroenterologists of Russia. In conclusion, the problems of general medical examination, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases of the stomach and duodenum in children are ed.
